This is an amazing property. Beautiful ,artistic touches and excellent comfort. There is a nice sized pool and complete privacy. There is everything in the house that you could possibly need. We were 2 people and found the large space perfect for our needs. There is a great restaurant just steps from the property and terrific security. The owners replied to every question we had and left a delicious bottle of wine to welcome us. The place is peaceful – a little piece of heaven.

Das Haus liegt in einer bewachten, sehr gepflegten Wohnanlage. Es gibt einen privaten Pool auf der Terrasse und einen grösseren Gemeinschaftspool im Garten der Anlage. In der nahen Umgebung befinden sich mehrere Lebensmittelgeschäfte und Restaurants. Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge auf die Kaphalbinsel oder ins nahegelegene Kapstadt. Wir können dieses Haus zu 100% weiterempfehlen!

We had a fabulous 10 day stay in Hout Bay, using 2 apartments managed by Anita & Gerrie. We know the local area well and this was our second visit staying in Red Sails. Location is perfect for us, away from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, but close enough to be in and out of the city everyday. We love Hout Bay and the immediate amenities around the apartment were perfect, everything we needed was within a 5/10 minute stroll from our front door – including the beautiful beach. My elderly father has mobility limitations and having an elevator from the underground garage to the apartment was a real blessing. The apartments themselves are well equipped and very spacious. We had 3 bathrooms and a BBQ on the balcony – we needed nothing more! The accommodation was perfectly clean and our request for a mid-stay changeover on one flat was received without any question. Communication with Anita and Gerrie was always very quick and reliable. We will certainly be back to Hout Bay for our next Cape Town visit. Thank you Anita and Gerrie.

Wat een verademing om met Gerrie en Anita je vakantie te plannen; het warme en persoonlijke contact, de adviezen, tips en (in ons geval) de persoonlijke begeleiding met verhalen en uitleg over de streek, de gebruiken etc. Onze huurauto stond keurig op ons te wachten na aankomst op de luchthaven, alle rompslomp uit handen genomen en volledig ontzorgd door de dames. Het huis in Houtbay wat we van hen huurden was van alle gemakken voorzien, ruim, schoon, erg mooi ingericht en aan het strand gelegen. De ideale uitvalsbasis om Kaapstad en omstreken te ontdekken. De tweedaagse safari die ze voor ons hadden geregeld was helemaal top en rondde onze vakantie op een prachtige manier af. Gerrie en Anita, nogmaals dank!

The apartment is convenient to the beach and restaurants and we were able to walk everywhere. It was also extremely clean. The hosts were very responsive and check out and check in were a breeze. We had a warm were welcome by the hosts Anita and Gerrie. The property was very spacious, neat and had all the facilities you could imagine. Enough space for all 7 persons in our travelling party. Because of the winter temperatures, the wood burner was superb on the cold winter mornings and nights. Restaurants, petrol station, supermarket are just around the corner, beach is only a walk away. For us it was a good base the explore Cape Town and its surroundings. This house is a good value for money with the superb hosts Anita and Gerrie. Highly recommended!

Toen wij voor een familievakantie Kaapstad hadden gekozen als bestemming, zochten wij contact met Gerrie (oud VNU dagbladen collega)en Anita. Naast het advies voor accommodatie (in ons geval The Gables in Hout Bay) stelden zij met ons een programma samen voor 6 dagen. In een prettig en vlot contact waren al snel de contouren zichtbaar van een actieve en afwisselende vakantie voor de groep van 9, in een leeftijd van 20 tot 60 jaar. Anita en Gerrie kunnen zich uitstekend verplaatsen in de wensen van de gasten, het beschikbare budget, culinaire verwachtingen en de ‘must see’-bestemmingen in en rond Kaapstad. Direct na aankomst hebben we tijdens een ‘meet & greet’ elkaar ontmoet en de reis doorgenomen. Nuttig en plezierig. Ook op andere momenten hebben we contact gehad tijdens de 6 dagen en altijd was het erg gezellig en waardevol. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien, schoon en veilig. En de omgeving beantwoordde helemaal aan onze verwachtingen. We waarderen erg de toegevoegde waarde die ze bieden (meedenken over transport, excursies, restaurants) en door hun inbreng kijken we werkelijk terug op de mooiste vakantie van ons leven!

Voor de vijfde keer hebben wij ook dit jaar weer via Lobecotours drie self catering houses gehuurd. Wederom werd het een heerlijke 5 weeks rondreis en verblijf in prachtig Zuid Afrika, met oude en ook weer nieuwe kennismakingen. Deze keer verbleven wij eerst in het gerieflijke, luxe BushGlam te Hoedspruit, daarna in een mooi huis met fantastisch zeezicht in Llandudno en daarna nog een week in een zeer ruim en volledig huis in Onrus, bij Hermanus. Ieder huis heeft zijn eigen karakter en het is steeds genieten in deze schitterende huizen. Altijd zijn de huizen schoon en smaakvol verzorgd ingericht. Naast de huizen verbleven wij ook in diverse B&B en Guest Houses. De adviezen van Gerrie en Anita zijn steeds weer heel waardevol in, het boeken van de verblijven, tips waar heen te gaan. Afspraken met huis eigenaren en andere organisaties verlopen via hun uitstekend. Wij ervaren Lobecotours als uiterst professioneel en ook zeer betrokken, het zorgt ervoor dat je verblijf in Zuid Afrika een heerlijk ontspannen vakantie wordt. Ons contact is dan ook in de loop van de jaren uitgegroeid tot een mooie vriendschap. Hartelijk dank Gerrie en Anita!

Lovely, modern home with a peaceful atmosphere. BushGlam is exactly as lovely as the photos reveal. The house is decorated in a modern style. The bathrooms are beautifully designed and feel luxurious. Anita was a good host and welcomed us with clear directions and followed up with a personal message to ensure our stay went well. We thoroughly enjoyed the Hat and Creek restaurant nearby and also found the stores to be easy to walk to. Kruger park is about an hour of driving away and it was fantastic! We played games in the quiet evening and enjoyed the pool during the day. The only reason I did not give it five stars is that there were two parts of this home’s write up that were misleading. The home lists air conditioning and while there is one unit, it is only upstairs in the master bedroom. I would have liked to have known this detail when booking. It may not have prevented my booking but it felt as though I was misled. We had six people traveling and four of them had to sleep downstairs. It was very warm. There is a screened window that can be opened and fans in both rooms which did help. Obviously it depends on the time of year that you travel but I believe this area is usually on the warm side. Another detail that was listed was a tumble dryer. There was no dryer. There was a washing machine and we were told to hang our laundry outside on the line which again was sufficient but not what was advertised. We also found a laundromat and laundry service up the street at the SPAR which was extremely inexpensive to have your laundry washed and dried and folded. Overall, we enjoyed our peaceful relaxing stay and are very glad we decided to book this house.

Beach Place is superb. It is a huge property with three large double/twin bedrooms, very comfy beds, two excellent bathrooms, a large lounge, a large well equipped kitchen, lots of outdoor space, and beautiful views from front and back. It’s just a sand dune away from the lovely beach. The property is really well equipped. It’s extremely secure, being on a gated estate, with a further remote-operated electronic garage door to get into the property, with the door to the house being right next to the two parking spaces. Anita and Gerrie were perfect hosts, meeting us at Beach Place and showing us the property, and were just a phone call away if we needed them. They left us with very detailed information about the property. Check out was just as smooth and quick as check in; it was a pleasure to deal and meet with them. We found Hout Bay to be the perfect based for exploring the Peninsula. Being centrally located it was never too far from anywhere, just a 25 min drive to Cape Town or an hour to Cape Point, and several things such as Chapman’s Peak Drive, Camps Bay, Kirstenbosch Gardens and the winelands are right on the doorstep. Hout Bay itself is lovely, with a large beach and plenty of shops and restaurants. The Harbour Bay Market at the weekends is not to be missed. We didn’t want to leave at the end of the week! We would highly recommend Beach Place and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
